LABORATORY

  Strength of Material Lab: For checking the strength of different materials under tension, compression, bending, shearing and testing of other mechanical properties like hardness, stiffness, brittleness. this lab is equipped with UTM ,Torsion Test , Brinell ,Rockwell Hardness etc,

  Hydraulic Lab: Experiments related to fluids, e.g. testing and measuring discharge pressure, flow rate and stability condition for Ship, This lab is equipped with hydraulic RAM ,Francis turbine  etc. 

Energy Conversion Lab: Energy conversion from one form to another, study of boilers wherein fuel energy generates steam which is again converted into mechanical energy in steam engines and to electrical energy in steam turbines.

CAD/CAM Lab: It is Equipped with CNC Lathe trainer and CNC milling Machine , latest version of CNC compatible software is available. Students are given hand - on experience of modern software such as Auto CAD 2004, Pro-E ,IDEAS, ANSYS etc.

  I.C. Engine Lab: Study of different types of I.C engines (C.I and S.I). The lab is equipped with state-of-art engines, testing and measuring devices.

  Heat and Mass Transfer Lab: Dealing with three modes of heat transfer and equipped with state-of-the-art apparatus incorporating latest technology.

 Material Science Lab: Study of the basic structure, their composition and constituents of different materials & various heat treatment processes.

Dynamics of Machine Lab: For performing experiments involving  industrial  applications like balancing of machines, application of gyroscopes, control of vibrations, etc.

Automobile Lab: The core lab of Mechanical Engineering Department, is equipped with all important functional parts, mechanisms and devices. This lab also functions as an in-house Automobile Service Station for giving practical exposure to the students in the repairing, tuning and maintenance of automobiles.

  Measurement and Instrumentation Lab:  Mechanical Engineering students are exposed to the concept of electronics and given practice in handling various electrical and electronic measuring instruments used by mechanical engineers.

 Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Lab: Study of cooling towers, cold storages and different concepts of refrigeration, air conditioning, etc.

Mechatronics Lab: To study mechatronics and their interfacing in a CNC machine, to study the hardness and softness of mechatronics kit, realization of logic equation, flip-flop etc
