BEYOND CURRICULUM

The department endeavours to equip the students with such training which is well beyond the syllabus prescribed by the University. Some special initiatives taken in this regard include:

 CAM LAB:

 It is equipped with a CNC Lathe Trainer and a CNC Milling Machine. Latest version of CNC compatible software – Mastercam- is available.

• Apart from practicals in laboratories and training in workshops, the students are also exposed to wide ranging industrial practices through conducted tours to various important industries.
• It is proposed to set up a modern Solar Energy Laboratory in the department.

 Software Training Courses:

 Students are trained to operate important software which are beyond the curriculum, e.g. Auto CAD 2004, Pro-E, Ideas, ANSYS and others.
